A Small Act of Kindness
バスの席を譲ったことについて、小さな選択がどれほど遠くまで影響するかを気づかされる、短い内省的な日記です。
A Small Act of Kindness diary example
Tuesday night
The bus was crowded after work. At the next stop, an older man got on with two heavy shopping bags. There were no empty seats, so I stood up and offered him mine. He smiled and thanked me.
A few minutes later, a mother got on with a sleeping child. The older man moved one of his bags and made space for her beside him. It was such a small thing, but I liked watching it happen.
I sometimes think kindness needs to be big or special. Today it was just one seat, then half a seat. Maybe that is how it usually works. Someone makes a little room, and another person sees it. I came home in a better mood than usual.
